All the unclaimed prizes have now been placed on Ebay for sale, all proceeds, less the Ebay fees will go to the rescue funds. They are being listed free.

We continue our work and again plan to hold a stall at National Terrier in April; we should have a wider variety of products available for sale and a collecting box for donations.

We have rescued and rehomed a number of dogs in recent months.  All the dogs are neutered; vet checked and spend some time with one of us so that they can be assessed before a suitable home is selected.  We give the new owner as much information as we can about their new companion, this is not always easy as some have been picked up by dog wardens and their previous owners have not been traced.  No dog goes to its new home until passed as fit by our vets and we keep in contact with the new owners, who know that we are only a phone call away for advice.

We have recently taken in a dog, Billy, whose litter brother, Jack, was rehomed by us two years ago, he was sold by his breeder as a four month old puppy to a couple in their eighties who are now no longer able to look after him.  Their breeder lives in Kent.

We found a home for a Buster who had been taken in by a German Shepherd rescue organisation, we put them in touch with a potentially suitable home in Scotland, and the family came to see me at SKC last August, absolutely thrilled with their new family member.

A local rescue organisation had Chester in during the summer, they rehomed him with an Airedale, which I considered unsuitable, a few weeks later I had a call asking if I would take him, he is now happily settled in a new home on the Wirral with a gentleman who had recently lost his elderly bedlington.

In December I had a call to rehome eight year old Timmy; he came from the same area in Norfolk as Chester.  His distraught owner was told by Social Services to get rid of him as he had taken a dislike to the visiting midwife.  He was very traumatized and took a long time to settle down, he is now ready to go to his new home.

Monty came to us in late 2008, he had previously lived in at least three homes but has settled in very well with his new owner and two male bedlington companions which says a lot about the temperaments of all three dogs.

Smokey, who came to us with her six, two day old Staffie cross puppies quickly settled into her new home which she shares with her owner and Jack, the lurcher; she has made herself at home and enjoys lying on the windowsill and watching what’s going on outside.

Two of Smokey’s pups Ellie (left) and Trigger (below) are also enjoying life with their new owners, in both cases young couples

Cookie, left, has been in his new for over two years now and he lives fairly close to me so I see him quite often.  He loves his daily walks and relaxing in his garden

Please click the following link (or paste it into your browser) to meet Cookie.
He has been living with his new family in Suffolk for 15 months.
